Commonwealth Crossing awarded a Platinum designation for Site Readiness

Martinsville, VA — October 31, 2024 — The Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation is proud to announce its participation in the REDI Sites program, a first-ever national standard for site readiness assessments. Administered by the Site Selectors Guild, REDI Sites provides a rigorous, standardized evaluation process for site readiness across the United States. Commonwealth Crossing Tract 2 received a REDI Sites “Platinum” designation, which is the highest level of site readiness available.

The REDI Sites program launched in 2024, standardizing an assessment process that has historically varied across municipalities and states and giving site selection consultants fast access to project-ready sites that have undergone the same assessment through an exclusive, nationwide database. REDI Sites assesses infrastructure capacity, ease of development, ownership and entitlements, and more for each submitted site and scores sites as bronze, silver, gold or platinum.
